Completed a lift and shift for the State of Massachusetts’s Department of Revenue tax system to the AWS Cloud environment. The project took six months and completed on time. This involved creating Terraform code to build a multi tier environment to support the states residential and business taxes. The environments were built in the AWS Cloud and used tools like AWS EC2s, ELBs, Cloud Watch, Terraform, GitHub, SQL Server, JIRA, and the Linux, and MS Windows Operating Systems.Built a Disaster Recovery environment for MS SQL database servers using AWS DR services.Completed a lift and shift for the State of Massachusetts’s Executive Office of Education to the AWS Cloud environment. The environment supports over 100 different .NET, and Java educational applications for the state.Created twenty plus technical documents explaining how to use and administer the environments including usage of AWS Systems Manager (SSM) and the Parameter Stores.

Served as senior support manager within Capital One’s Rapid Cycle Development group. Responsibilities included managing a team of six employees to support software enhancements and 84 ASP web applications with SQL Server, Oracle, and Teradata databases, which serviced more than 1,000 users. Identified a savings of nearly $250,000 of disk space that was not allocated or used for 8 months. Made appropriations to put the unused disk space back into service. Installed, tested, packaged, and documented the new version of Capital One’s BMC capacity planning software. This included designing, installing, and testing SUSE Linux, Sun Solaris, HP HPUX, IBM AIX, and Microsoft Intel platforms; packaging the software for distribution; and documenting its installation.
