As the Founder and President of We Are Runners, I lead a dynamic and inclusive running club based at Penn State University. Our mission is to foster a supportive community where runners of all backgrounds can come together to achieve their personal fitness goals and make a positive impact on the community.Founded with a vision to promote health, inclusivity, and community engagement, We Are Runners offers a range of activities designed to accommodate both seasoned runners and newcomers. Our weekly runs, special events like “Trial Mile Monday” and “Running with a Purpose,” and community outreach programs are all aimed at building connections and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.In my role, I oversee the strategic direction of the club, manage a dedicated team of board members, and coordinate events and initiatives that enhance member experience and community involvement. From organizing weekly group runs to leading volunteer efforts at local running events, my focus is on creating an environment where every member feels welcome and motivated.Additionally, I am responsible for driving the club’s social media presence, ensuring effective communication and engagement with our members.
