A creative problem solver. My fun comes from leading and stimulating deep thinking and questioning. I am grateful to have been able to dedicate my work energies in the higher education sphere. There are lot's of smart people and I love working with them.Over four decades, I have been involved in the development and commercialization of over forty higher education enterprise software applications. Have learned a thing or two about adoption and scale. Improving workflows with automation is my main interest. This covers addressing the myriad challenges learners face with recognition of learning inside and outside of the Academy. That includes assessment and recognition technologies that can produce personalizes prescriptive guides. I am super passionate about investing in systematic improvements supporting learners of all ages and types (consumers). Think I have developed a pretty good understanding and appreciation of the complexities crossing multiple institutions and the barriers to credential completion. You will usually find me advocating for data standards, data exchange standards and developing shared platforms supporting learners, advisors, faculty and the institutions they attend. That also means I am usually in the middle of large scale projects involving government agencies, higher education institutions and external stakeholders. In short, no one is a stronger advocate for learner centric technologies worldwide. I volunteer my talents through several international groups and projects (PESC and GDN). And, I have been a Rotarian for over twenty years, WEGO Foundation President, three time past club president, Paul Harris and Guy Gundaker Fellows.
