David is a skilled communicator with a keen focus on getting the best outcomes for his clients. David practices mainly in native title and Indigenous cultural heritage protection, coal seam gas, mining, water, and environmental law in Queensland. He acts for native title clients in both advisory and litigious matters, on determination claims, Indigenous land use agreements, cultural heritage management plans and agreements and corporate advisory for PBCs. David also has a predominantly landholder focused practice in the resources sector, advising clients in conduct and compensation agreement and make good agreement negotiations with mining companies. David was awarded first class honours for his thesis on the Timber Creek native title compensation case and is excited about this developing area of his practice. He is the 2018 Queensland Poetry Slam Champion and enjoys the spark of creativity he finds as he explores the natural beauty of Queensland.
