David excels at building great businesses and over his career he has contributed to increasing the equity value of companies by over $500 million. He is an entrepreneurial and progressive leader who has been successful in managing the leadership teams of private equity-owned businesses, improving under-performing companies as President and starting new ventures. Presently, he is an investor and owner-operator of Salivan Landscape, one of the largest independently-owned commercial landscape company in the Greater Toronto Area. While at Regimen Equity Partners, David served as the Operating Partner and was accountable for increasing the value of portfolio companies through best practices in the areas of risk management, strategic planning, operational efficiency, talent management, sales growth and organizational design. He coached a group of CEOs and their direct reports and collaborated with them on annual capital decisions, KPIs and goals. The result was a CAGR in equity value of up to 45%. David has successfully launched or improved businesses within the B2B and B2C markets. From 2011 to 2016, he served as the President of Baker Shoe Company, Canada's oldest footwear company. In addition, he launched title insurance in Canada and the first cloud-based internet bill presentation & payment solution. As COO for Syscan International, a provider of logistics solutions for the consumer packaged goods industry, David led the realignment of the company which resulted in a 50% increase in market value. David started ManageMyHome.com as a personalized, E-commerce service to help homeowners increase the value of their homes while providing businesses with a channel to build relationships with homeowners. The company was sold to Sears Holding Corp for a 3X multiple on invested capital. Throughout his career David has led teams and organizations with a service-based philosophy. His role as leader is to provide members of the team with the resources and coaching to perform at the highest level. Some of David's core competencies are designing strategy around the customer, recruiting A-level talent, executing against process and coaching managers to perform better.
