Lead tester for the SQL based analytics (data mining) module of our mobile wireless VPN solution. Planned and executed feature, performance and network testing using wired, wireless and wide area connections. Used SQL to independently query the database to verify report data accuracy. Conformance tested the most complex features and directed other testers to test the rest of the module. Performance and stress tested a fully populated system.Built and maintained an engineering/test lab at the Bethlehem office: domain controller; DHCP, file, web & database servers; general test servers & clients. Managed a lab configuration engineer.Wrote automation to centrally control a set of clients to simulate a large amount of specific client activity.Performed investigative testing to determine specific performance numbers that could be included in customer documents.

Senior Test Engineer (staff) July 04 - March 06Senior Test Engineer (contractor) May 03 - June 04Became the company's IP/Ethernet networking expert. Developed and executed all networking related testing. Ramped up and became the local protocol expert for LACP, GMRP, GVRP and SNMP with limited prior knowledge of these protocols. Rapidly learned how to install, configure and maintain a Citrix 4.0 installation and the associated infrastructure: MS domain controller; license, database and exchange servers; Cisco routers; managed switches.Member of the team that converted company's product from custom hardware to specific off the shelf hardware. Worked closely with development for integration testing of new features.

Contracted as a one-man IT department for a manufacturing plant. Performed as the IT help desk for general problems.Upgraded existing hardware, software and processes to get the company ready to deploy Epicor's Vantage ERP. Assisted management with interviewing and training my replacements.
