After graduating from St Olaf College I worked with the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia in crop diversification. Later I returned to the US for an MBA degree in International Finance from Indiana University. I then taught Finance at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota. After returning to Minnesota State University - Mankato for study in Engineering, I became the Sales & Engineering Manager at Minnesota Electric Technology, (www.metmotors.com) a company that manufactures DC motors designed for each customer’s application. I am now the president of MET. At the same time I am also the General Manager of Enterprise Machining Company (www.enterprisemachining.com). EMC does contract machining work for MET as well as other manufacturers such as Parker Hannifin, Caterpillar, and Johnson Worldwide.I also volunteer with Rotary Youth Exchange. We sponsor Minnesota and Western Wisconsin high school students in a year-long exchange program with over 35 countries. We accept and host an equal number of students from those countries here. Rotary Clubs in the other countries are the sponsors for their students as well as the hosts for our students.
