A public company now known as ALS Ltd, at the time with diverse business activities in consumer and industrial chemicals, distribution of consumables for healthcare and hospitality, analytical laboratories, pest control and carpet cleaning.• Policy - Development, communication, implementation.• Recruitment both domestic & international• Performance Management – Online system implementation, disciplinary processes, training & development.• Industrial Relations – EBA negotiations, agreement drafting, management advice• Remuneration Systems – Payroll management, salary packaging, Award compliance, fleet management, review systems, Superannuation, novated vehicle leases, FBT.• Acquisition/Divestment – Due diligence, restructuring, change management.Achievements- The creation of Divisional intranets developed with senior managers particularly where policies had previously not existed. Subsequent to their launch, people issues throughout the company improved by being addressed more consistently and in a timely fashion.- Researched into and implemented online recruitment for this geographically diverse organisation. Recruitment outcomes became more transparent, reliable and objective. Successful candidates displayed improved performance and there was a significant decrease in turnover.- Examined Payroll processing and remuneration packaging trends so as to modernise policies and practices. The chosen systems introduced more flexible packaging options resulting in existing and new employees choosing remuneration arrangements, which better suited their needs, thus improving both retention and attraction.- Introduced online performance management/review systems so as to replace an ad-hoc approach. Subsequent to rolling this out, due to its flexible and customisable nature it started to be used on an ongoing basis rather than only 1-2 times per year. This resulted in KPI’s being regularly reviewed and objectives met with an overall business improvement.
