I saw a clear opportunity of breaking out the digital products and services we had developed into a separate legal entity and licence them back to the new owners of Fitness First in each of its operating countries, along with offering a white label product to the fitness & health industry. The Labs team consist of technical development, UX specialists, data scientists, marketers, CRM, fitness and motivational experts. We off shore to India the app development side of the business and have offices in London. I led the strategic direction of the business both commercially and in terms of product, whilst remaining hands on in day to day operations and being involved in all aspects of the business. The marketing department consisted of a team of 15 employees. Key strategies implemented in the turnaround of Fitness First Australia. 1. Working closely with 333s management group, I supported the company to develop and implemented a highly innovative approach to exit 30 sites involving a scheme of arrangement. 2. Formulated a major cost saving and up weighting of people skill set strategy. This included: a) Head office reduction of costs in head count b) A strategy to improve the competence of the club general managers through developing a new job description and KPI’s. c) Developed a high performing team through an effective coaching style of management. 3. Developed and implemented a strategy to improve brand perception 4. Improved sales and efficiency - Improved lead generation and sales while lowering costs. 5. Implemented a CRM strategy - Identified behaviour in the correlation between interactions and member visitation patterns and a tipping point on visitation levels crucial in effecting members length of stay. 6. Developed in new pricing strategy and product mix - Allowed Fitness First to hold yield while reducing price. Show less
