In this role I join some of Synamedia's brightest individuals as we convert several security products to multi-Tenant architecture. Automating Serverless and Kubernetes based deployments using Terraform, GitHub for CI needs, managing multiple prod, pre-prod, and dev environments while integrating with our pipeline. Building out highly resilient, scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments. In addition, I write serverless applications primarily in NodeJS, and function as my Teams ScrumMaster. And all this, while having loads of fun.

Synamedia was formed out of Cisco's Service Provider Video business. This role is an evolution of my previous role at Cisco. In this role, I focus on migrating our largest customers to EKS on AWS, while improving scalability and providing major cost and resiliency benefits.

In this role, I play a leading role in bringing Cisco’s first aaS Cloud based Video offering to the market and delivering it to our customer base. Adopting Agile and CI/CD software delivery practices and the productization of our offering. What started out as on prem OpenStack Clouds, quickly became large scale multi region deployments on AWS for our diverse customer base. The role includes delivering customer aaS solutions on AWS around the world. Using best-of-breed Cloud and Open Source Technologies. From noSQL (Couchbase \ Mongo) to Consul, Micro services, salt, nginx, Elastic Search (Elk), and a wide spectrum of AWS products (VPC, Ec2, ELB, Route53, Cloudfront, S3, RDS, etc) - to deliver Hybrid and Cloud Native aaS Cloud DVR video offerings to enterprise broadcasters around the world. Currently working on implementing OpenShift technologies to leverage containerized (Docker) orchestration models.

Delivering Cisco products and solutions to Video Service Provider's throughout Latin America. I specialize in Cloud solutions, VOD, OTT, Cloud DVR, Conditional Access and DRM, as well as a broad understanding of DVB and MPEG protocols for Cable and Satellite TV broadcasters. Leading large multi-disciplinary projects from early stages of POC, to full scale delivery, platform migration, and customer training. In this role I successfully delivered full blown solutions to over 7 new customers throughout Latin America. From design, to install, to full E2E and customer training. Today these customers serve over 15 million subscribers in Brazil and Mexico alone.

Managing and Administrating Technology for Call Center with 2 sites and 350 employees: Running day to day operations, ensuring 24/7 uptime in a High Availability environment and managing staff. Responsibly includes implementing new technologies, and providing Presales support for new customers. • Managing Microsoft infrastructure: Windows 2003 Servers, Group Policy, Active Directory, Exchange 2003, IIS, DHCP, and DNS Servers. • Implementing and Supporting VMware ESX architecture.• Managing Linux (Red Had \ Ubuntu) servers. Managing Technology for call center with 7 sites around the world and over 1000 agents• Supporting call center technologies for large enterprise with LANs and WANs spanning into multiple sites and countries. • Supporting Telephony Voice solutions using Telephony @ Work and AVAYA. Administrating Audio Codes equipment, Witness QM Recording and proprietary tools.• Supporting Windows 2000 Servers, Windows 2003 and Linux Servers.• Coordinating DBAs and Developers for maintenance of company Oracle Databases, designing Data Warehouse and other tools.• Providing Pre Sale and Post Sale services• Managed staff of 10 specialists, remote support entities and $600K Budget

Responsible for delivering all reporting and Business Intelligence needs for multiple call centers. Role included migrating call center reporting to automated reporting system using Oracle Hyperion Intelligence (Brio), and later re-migrating all reports to Cognos BI. Managed staff of 5 specialists.• Saved over 600 hours of monthly labor by introducing automated reporting. • Developed state of the art KPI reporting for management. • Introduced ad-hoc reporting to the company, thus allowing managers to pull their own data, and saving valuable developer time.• Managing Staff of 5 BI Developers.
