I am a seasoned specialty beverage professional with 15+ years of experience in the industry including retail management, sales, marketing, training, and product development. I’ve worked with small start-ups and household names alike in the states, Europe, and Asia and I maintain a strong global network. I’m fanatical about quality and am a consultant to both regional roasters and national brands.After leaving an Assistant Vice President role in financial sector in 2005, I managed one of Seattle’s first third wave coffee bars where I partnered with the Coffee Equipment Company to launch the Clover. I subsequently joined Clover full time, driving sales and marketing efforts for a machine that played a significant role in the industry’s shift to by-the-cup brewing in the late 2000s. When the Coffee Equipment Company was acquired by Starbucks, I transitioned to the Starbucks team to develop QC and training processes to launch the machine in their stores. At Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea and Solberg & Hansen, I worked with a wide variety of clients to deliver the best possible coffee and tea to their customers. Over five+ years of working at Franke, a Swiss multinational, I expanded my network into Asia, led participation in more than 20 trade shows, and was an evangelist for specialty coffee in a complex matrix organization.My strengths lie in building strong relationships with diverse groups - from Franke engineers to front-line baristas in Busan; developing and implementing effective training programs; and telling a product or organization’s story in a compelling way.
