I am a student at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, majoring in global business with a concentration in global finance and business economics. I am 18 years old and a lifelong New Yorker who has been exposed to the ins and outs of business since a very young age through my family's small restaurant. Being able to work in an environment at such an early point in my life exposed me to the realities of professional life and interpersonal communication skills that I carry through until today. Over the summer after my high school graduation, I volunteered for the non-profit Visiting Neighbors, where these skills were put to the test as I interacted with and aided senior citizens daily. Despite being generations removed from one another, I fostered strong bonds with many of my clients and earned their trust. I enrolled in the Gabelli School of Business due to its Jesuit values, professional network, and emphasis on ethics in business. Being in such an environment has taught me how to interact and work with people of all different experiences and backgrounds while managing my time well. I believe that all of these skills can translate to any team or workplace, and I plan on seeking internships in finance during my years at Fordham.
