As a lawyer at Goodmans since 2001, my focus is on business law disputes, including intellectual property and commercial law matters. I have substantial experience in such matters as shareholder disputes, securities litigation, director and officer liability, professional negligence, defamation and white collar crime. My practice also involves pharmaceutical patents in proceedings launched in the Federal Court of Canada. I have worked in proceedings brought before the ICC International Court of Arbitration and appeared before both the trial and appellate levels of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Federal Court of Canada and before Provincial tribunals such as the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario.I also had the opportunity to assist the Honourable Bob Rae in his review of the bombing of Air India Flight 182 and in the preparation of his report entitled “Lessons to be Learned” which led to a Commission of Inquiry into the investigation of that event.
