He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the University of Missouri/Columbia. He was the recipient of the Tullyloughran Residency in County Clare, Ireland, with a concentration in photography, sculpture, and art history. David’s exhibition history includes over a dozen solo and forty group shows and has been published extensively. He is an avid collector of fine art and liberated objects. David is the founder and executive director of the Providence Drum Troupe, founded in 2020 and awarded Motif Best Street Band, in 2021, 2022, and 2023. The Troupe is a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to connecting creative forces for the greater good. David has served in various positions including board member, curator, juror, consultant, and portfolio reviewer for other prestigious galleries, associations, and collaboratives. Residing in Wrentham, MA, David also lends his personal philosophy and artistic skills to his work in expressive arts therapy, and Creating Your Vision photography workshops, while also offering private artist coaching services such as music, installations, studio visits, and portfolio reviews. His work focuses on unveiling not only light and shadow but also imparts a sense of storytelling folklore and timeless mythology. Evoking emotion and the sense of being connected to abandoned places almost sacred, David's creations articulate emotional truths far beyond the scope of a crushingly literal meaning. Passionately interested in the human condition, nature, motorcycles, and Irish history, these elements are often found entwined within his work.
