As the Director of Corporate Operations at Escude Automotive Group, I oversee and integrate key operational functions, including Human Resources and Payroll, Compliance, IT and Systems, Finance, Training and Development, and Customer Experience. My role is focused on ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with the company’s strategic goals, managing acquisitions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

As the Director of Human Resources and Payroll for the MCE Automotive Group, a family of retail automotive dealerships, I oversee all HR and Payroll functions within the organization and work alongside the other members of senior management to bring our ownership and employees the best possible insights and support in this fast-moving climate filled with challenges and opportunities.Current responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Planning, developing and implementing payroll policies, controls and procedures.2. Managing payroll and benefits programs.3. Developing benefit analyses and reports.4. Developing payroll audit systems to ensure that payroll processing operates in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.5. Managing the administration of the organization’s employee benefit programs including group life, health, dental, vision and disability plans, retirement savings plans, and statutory benefit programs including FMLA and workers’ compensation. 6. Managing annual open enrollment process for health and supplemental plans. 7. Preparing documentation in support of benefits reviews and renewals.8. Managing the documentation of personnel actions including promotions, transfers, terminations or disciplinary actions.9. Developing and maintaining system-wide organization charts.10. Negotiating with vendors to reach the most profitable relationships for the company.11. Coordinating with multiple third parties in an effort to keep the company compliant and improve efficiency.12. Assisting hiring managers with applicant review, training and necessary background checks.13. Complex payroll and benefit problem solving scenarios to alleviate pressure on supervisors and instill confidence in employees.14. Personal handling of 401(k), benefit plan, unemployment and workers' compensation audits.15. Reviewing policy manual changes and drafting group-wide memos and employee communications.
