I am David Lee Horton II, a Xavier University alum who received an undergraduate international business degree, Class of 2016, as well as a graduate sport administration degree, Class of 2024. I am currently a graduate student at Xavier working to complete my master's degree in business administration (May 2026). I have a strong work ethic and I am an altruistic individual who is a team-first collaborator. I am looking for a full-time job in sport administration that will challenge me within an organization while also change lives of those within the community in which we serve. I am looking to work with organizations that have a global impact and are working towards cultivating a better society. I find solutions within problems that arise and, from these learnings, craft a process so that we know how to attack these problems and help teach others to do better and how to handle these challenges. I hope to help as many people as I can by creating safe spaces where each person can be their authentic self. I strive to work on myself to be the best version of myself each day. I hope to make a positive impact within the organization by helping the people I work with as well as being of service. I have a passion for sports with my favorites being basketball, soccer, track & field, baseball, and football. I want to share my experiences with others as well as learn from other people's experiences by continuing to be curious by asking questions and actively listening to better understand their journey. I hope to apply what I've learned into my work to follow my passions and interests while not being afraid of failure. In one of my first projects, I led an outreach effort to self-identified certified diverse vendors which led to 22 vendors with an average of $33 million in annual spend to become certified diverse vendors with 10 vendors investigating to achieve diversity certification.
