Accomplishments – Core-Mark, a Fortune 300 company, deemed an essential business during the coronavirus pandemic, crafted communication strategy plan focusing on a healthy and motivated workforce. With a labor intensive workforce, strategy was implemented ensuring the division employed at least 500 team members; therefore minimizing the need of temporary staffing. Additionally, identified and created “Flex Force” minimizing overtime by 5%. Ensure the division was California compliant by educating people leaders through a learning environment, where it is ok learn from reasonable mistakes.

Accomplishments – Led the Human Resources department instilling the IKEA culture and values across a retain employee base of over 300. Designed and implemented Global Leadership training, resulting in overall positive employee satisfaction within the location in contrast to country results. Certified Ken Blanchard’s Situational Leadership II Trainer, facilitating training across IKEA locations as the lead for Leadership and Cultural initiatives on the West Coast. Employee cost per worked hour and employee productivity were exceeding country expectation though the store hourly population consisted of 50% part time employees working less than 20 hours per week. Work collaboratively with corporate office, successfully leading the country initiative and process of reorganizing all positions within a location. Created the IKEA Olympics promoting employee engagement which were adopted by other locations. In addition, balanced a non-regrettable an annual turnover rate of under 30%.

Accomplishments – Collaboratively conferred with the President and Vice President to establish a working culture of a fast paced, fun, and cohesive organization. Leadership training focused on compliance, educating managers the importance of accurate pay practices. Created the company handbook, documenting human resource policies and procedures.

Accomplishments - Contributor to a successfully negotiated new union collective bargaining agreement. Developed a strong working relationship with each of the four shift shop stewards, resulting in direct communication of employee matters and quick resolution. As the co-chair in the annual Gallo United Way fundraiser, I’ve raised over $45,000 to support the needs of the children in the Modesto community.
