Reporting to the Chief Advisor-Asset Management, this global role is responsible for the development, deployment and continuous improvement of key reliability engineering work streams utilised across the Business including:• Asset Tactics Development using RCM, FMEA and PMO• Defeat Elimination (RCA) using PROACT, Apollo and TapRooT.• Reliability Analytics, Reliability Modelling (RAM) and LCCMWhilst in this role David initiated, lead, facilitated and supported numerous complex reliability analytic studies including:• Haul truck component life extension studies and LCCM enabling confidence in life extension of engines and wheel motors resulting in significant cost reductions• Modelling of Loading facility, providing visibility to critical equipment for strategy optimisation• Modelling for Aluminium Refinery - enabling Operational Availability factor to be estimated with greater confidence reducing business risk in acceptance for process performance agreement• Reliability Modelling and Spares Modelling - Pump Reliability Study - enabling business case to support investment sparing strategy to minimise business riskEach delivering mutli-million dollar savings to the business through enhanced technical competence in business decision making focused on the balance between, risk, costs and production.• Through extensive consulting, relationship building and collaboration with key business keyholders developed the RE competency framework and supporting training program providing a pathway for the development of increased competencies.• Mentored, coached and delivered training to reliability engineers, embedding best practices and increasing business value• Transformed acceptance and deployment of reliability engineering analytics system. Transformed the system support process with enhanced governance, increased support capability, moving solution from virtually unsupported to core solution delivering multi-million dollar business benefit.
