Seconded to SPRC from Caltex, reporting to General Manager Engineering, this position is responsible for the management and leadership of the Reliability Division including the development and deployment of the Reliability Management System.Main Achievement:• Reduced cost of equipment unreliability for ARC by US$1.3M in Gross Refining Margin terms over 2years. • Reliability Improvement Teams initiated/facilitated by this position resulted in US$0.5M in power cost reductions and US$200K in reduced maintenance.• MTBF for rotating equipment was improved from 47 months to 66 months in the period of 1 year.• MTBF for mechanical seals was continuously improved from 6 years to 9.4 years in the same period. This result exceeded industry pacesetter figures of 8 years. Cost per installed seals (CPIS) was reduced to pacesetter levels• Designed and implemented a Reliability Engineering Management Strategy within the new organisation
