I serve as CEO of Water for Good, where we provide access to safe water, improved sanitation and hygiene in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Central African Republic, and Cambodia. For five years, I was CEO of Lifewater International and realized the opportunity to merge our work with the incredible initiatives at Water for Good—two organizations becoming one to accelerate the good work done individually.Water for Good successfully drives sustainable development through innovative WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) solutions that bring safe, reliable water to communities that need it most, while working alongside local leaders to establish healthy homes so their communities can thrive. I love my job because it involves witnessing amazing transformation of families and communities. I’m especially passionate about the impact we have in creating new opportunities for children. The water crisis is unacceptable. I believe we can be a catalyst for change that helps all people—no matter where they were born—to thrive. And, our teams at Water for Good work every day toward that end. Because of Water for Good's initiatives, children stay in school, women are empowered, and economic barriers are broken. People live safer, healthier lives. Outside of work, I enjoy mountain biking (a new passion since moving to Bentonville), reading, and exploring diverse cultures through travel. I’ve had the opportunity to visit 87 countries so far and plan to visit many more. These experiences continually inform my approach to global challenges and leadership.My career has included consulting, corporate and nonprofit roles, as well as the chance to start a few organizations. One of the common threads (and something that brings me great joy) is helping a team or organization embrace a new strategic vision and make the transformational changes to achieve it. I love to coach and mentor others when the opportunities arise, partly because I’ve been blessed to have great mentors in my life. One of my favorite roles has been teaching college students as an adjunct professor.My leadership philosophy includes leveraging CliftonStrengths to empower and grow organizations.
