David is a Chartered Arboriculturist with over 30 years professional and managerial arboricultural experience. He started in Forestry Research at Bedgebury Pinetum followed by a period as a Tree Surgeon and then as a partner in his own Tree Surgery Business. David then joined Maidstone Borough Council in 1990, as a Tree Officer managing the Council's tree stock and providing arboricultural advice. He was then promoted to the post of Parks and Open Spaces Officer managing a small team and providing the client side management of the Council's parks and open spaces.David joined Jacobs in June 2003 as an Arboriculturist, gaining promotions to Senior Arboriculturist in 2005, Principal Arboriculturist in 2006 and Technical Director in 2011. He managed the successful delivery of arboricultural consultancy services within a number of large framework contracts, effectively developing partnership working relationships and added value initiatives. He was also instrumental in implementing an enhanced safety risk centred approach to the zoning of tree inspections for Kent Schools.Following the closure of the Jacobs Maidstone Office and relocation to Croydon in July 2015, David subsequently joined The Living Forest Limited in August 2015 as Managing Director responsible for managing and developing the arboricultural consultancy services.
