Responsible for the operations and success of a security department within a division. Collaborates with divisional leaders and serves as subject matter expert for safety, security, and emergency management. Managed compliance with NCDEQ, NCDOL, OSHA, OSFM, and maintained partnerships with local, state, and federal entities. Supervised and administered emergency notifications and alerts as they are sent campus wide and throughout the community. Managed, department social media engaging students, staff, faculty, and stakeholders. Served as the department Training Coordinator, ensuring that all employees keep up to date records and complete mandatory in-service. Organized and managed both the Emergency Operations Group, and the Emergency Operations Center.

Elizabeth City Police Department

Managed potential hazards or problems which could harm the public. Maintained a constant presence in the community through regular patrols to deter crime and provide quick help when needed. Attended public events as security to help ensure peaceful attendance. Apprehended and arrested offenders for crimes committed under federal, state, and local laws and codes.

Hertford Police Department

Responded to calls for service, both emergency and nonemergency and provide emergency aid as needed.Enforced traffic regulations, recognize violations, complete appropriate reports and forms, and the issuance citations and warnings. Provided a presence in the community to deter crime and provide quick help when needed.

Deployed in support of combat operations, disaster relief, and humanitarian assistance missions, providing the best care our nation can offer ashore and afloat. Assisted in a wide range of departments and procedures, from dispensing vaccines and analyzing lab samples to aiding in dental operations and assisting in emergency surgeries.
