His work for the AAP and the North Carolina Pediatric Society has garnered multiple awards and led him to nomination as a candidate for President-Elect of the Academy in 2023. He continues to serve his colleagues there in organizational and editorial leadership roles.Dr. Hill's pediatric practice forms the foundation of everything he does, and it ranges from community pediatrics in underserved urban and rural areas to academic pediatric hospital medicine. He has served as the medical director of a large multisite corporate practice and as an adjunct assistant professor at both the UNC School of Medicine and the Campbell School of Osteopathic Medicine. Putting patients first, and teaching others to do so, lies at the heart of his mission.Dr. Hill began his communication career as a high school student in Memphis, Tennessee writing for Memphis Magazine, The Commercial Appeal, and The Memphis Business Journal. He developed his voice (literally) as a commentator for NPR's All Things Considered and member stations WUNC and WHQR. He has spoken on air for local and national news media ranging from Fox News to CNN and has sourced articles in most major newspapers and magazines from The Wall Street Journal to The Washington Post.
