David Liem is an entrepreneur, digital marketer and award-winning filmmaker. He is the CEO of Ripples Asia Venture, a digital publisher and solution provider for the video games industry that has worked with international gaming companies like Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Deep Silver, THQ Nordic, and Nacon.With a keenness to learn new things, David’s career expands over several industries including, children’s education, corporate training, digital marketing, software development and video games. He brings his unique cross-cultural perspectives to business, empowering companies around the world to work together in harmony. Born and raised in Canada, David moved to Singapore in 2006. He co-founded Happy Marketer and grew the company from a humble two-man team to an award-winning digital marketing agency working companies like Google, AirAsia, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, NUS and NTU. After successfully exiting the business, David was selected as a finalist for the 2014 Start@Singapore business plan competition. He was also part of the Unframed programme, an accelerator focused on social impact start-ups.As a filmmaker, David has produced over one hundred short films and documentaries. He also has produced several documentaries for Honour Singapore, a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting a culture of Honour and Honouring.
