I've lived in Seattle area since 2006.I am always looking to expand my horizon, learn new things, not just computers and applications, but to better myself and do the best I can at any task that I undertake; be it guiding a pony around in a circle with little kids on it at a Shriner Children's Hospital Keiki (Children's) Day festival or hanging theater spot lights or being put in charge of a Citrix upgrade project with only 15 min warning before the consultants came to start the conversion, or deploying and managing a Microsoft CRM Dynamics Online environment as part of the first pre-launch test group to reducing the time the switch board at Harborview Medical Center took to push out a code call from 90 seconds to about 15 seconds.I am passionate about technology, and is constantly learning more whenever the opportunity presents itself.Specialties: I have over 2 decades of experience working professionally within information technology. I have experience with and can tackle most Windows related, security, storage and networking tasks. My knowledge base is enhanced by ability draw from my past experience to adapt to the current situation, to focus and zoom in on the details, but also see the bigger picture and to think outside the box.I'm excited where my current position is taking me and the team I work with, but I do not keep any doors closed to the new opportunities.

System Administrator
CurrentIn my role as a System Administrator on the Infrastructure team, I manage corporate enterprise systems like 3 seperate Active Directory environments, Exchange, 3 separate VMware environments with a total of over 40 vm hosts, 7 seperate networks consiting of switches, routers and firewalls, VPN, WSUS, file servers, storage, and backup. I maintain application servers, web servers, database servers, cybersecurity, phone and radio systems. Our team are now also responsible for maintaining the back-end of the gaming environment (as much as the WSGC allows us). I research, compare and propose potential new systems, services and technologies that could benefit the company. As a member of a small team in the IT department I need to be an IT jack of all trade, a quick learner and keep system documentation thorough and up-to-date. I mentor junior department team members.
Software Engineer (And Network & Systems Admin)
For clients I worked with server and network based CCTV systems and connected security doors. In house I managed the servers and workstations. When the company moved to a smaller main office the servers moved into the cloud. While managing the cloud based servers I also maintain a few physical servers for test, development and retention of old data while moving our storage online.
Senior System Administrator (Senior Computer Specialist)
Within the Finance Business Systems team my role included, but also went beyond normal systems administrator work like Windows Server, Workstation and software install, support and administration.I was one of three primary technical IT liaisons for several hospitals support departments. The team deal with the specialized nonstandard systems from the brand new next generation device to that 15 years old out of production, can't get part, only one in existence, but has to work no matter what, controller box. Some of the bigger main systems that I supported was the hospital’s switchboard PBX call answering and on-call system by Amtelco. I managed all of the servers for both the analog (Intellex DVRs) and digital (DvTel) CCTV monitoring system using standalone servers for the DVR's and a mixed DAS and iSCSI NAS storage systems using both Dell and HP hardware and networking equipment. I maintained switches on the closed public safety network that both the CCTV and building card access system uses. I maintained and supported all of the hospitals issues Android and iPhone smartphones. Our support scope narrowed with the change to a BOYD model, but we still help configure their devices to be able to access their email and calendar.I also designed custom Windows workstation, servers and software deployments and script in batch and PowerShell when/where needed. As an IT liaison I advised and worked with different departments when they talked to vendors about new technologies. I made sure that they adhered to HIPPA and UW Medicine's IT and network security standards. When needed I also worked with clients and vendors to make sure that the right people and/or departments were brought in on the project and I worked with all parties involved to make sure that the project goes as smoothly as possible. I also researched, investigated and recommended new systems that helps and improves the departments I supported.
