Our C4I expertise allowed us to support customers in the joint and training communities as well. GPS – Received Army Commendation Award for being part of the team that tested GPS all over the desert southwest. Our job was to be mobile and run baseline tests every hour and record the results. This test was completed just prior to Desert Shield and that was where it was used “live” for the first time.Magnavox SCOTT - The Army spent $105.8 million on a firm fixed price contract with Magnavox Electronic Systems Co. to produce fifteen Single-Channel Objective Tactical Terminals (SCOTT). The SCOTT equipment has been delivered and used operationally during Desert Storm. I was the pnly military person working on the test phase of this project. I ran baseline tests in extreme heat and cold environments, recorded results and troubleshooted issues when the tests failed. Yongsan, Seaul, South KoreaSUSLAK Worked for US Embassy and NSA at SUSLAK (Special United States Liaison Advisor Korea) – Mission was to support all telcom, radio, multiplexer, crypto and computer gear. I was only 29V onsite and performed all troubleshooting and resolution of issues and performed all routine maintenance of the equipment. In my spare time I helped rewire most of the site and helped install a new backup power system.
