Played a pivotal role in driving community involvement for a public-private partnership to develop a 12-acre park over the Atlanta Downtown Connector between Georgia Tech and Tech Square. Led the development of a comprehensive Community Participation Plan (CPP) framework, evaluating current operations and recommending best practices. Engaged stakeholders to craft a strategy for municipal support, leveraging USDOT guidelines, NRPA recommendations, and peer research. Authored the 83-page community engagement strategy for the project’s feasibility report. • Partnered with a marketing consultancy to develop fundraising and public-private partnership campaigns, identify potential board members/stakeholders, and establish onboarding processes for board members. • Teamed with political strategists, urban planners, parks consultants, and other consultants to create the CPP. • Aligned the CPP with federal standards and ensured compliance with USDOT public participation requirements for any project receiving federal funds.• Identified and engaged the Georgia Tech Center for Sustainable Communities Research and Education with the goal of guiding research initiatives for the Connector Park project.• Worked directly with Dan Cathy, CEO of Chick-Fil-A, multiple Atlanta City Council members, and various other high-level industry, community, and institutional leaders from Georgia Tech, Presidio Trust, Park Pride, Midtown Alliance, Coxe Curry, Piedmont Park, and Salesforce Park.

From July 19 until August 4, 1996, Atlanta hosted the Centennial Summer Olympic Games. With a goal of promoting the work of Civic leaders that strived to dramatically change Atlanta and showcase the city as an international destination, I worked as part of an energetic international team of Olympic Games Event Guides. We accompanied sponsor guests and VIPs to opening and closing ceremonies, regular game events and special events during the Games. VIPs and sponsor guests were guided to new sports venues, newly created park space, and along improved sidewalks and streets.
