Public or private.I have counseled numerous new small businesses, taken construction projects from inception, through planning, financing, construction and occupancy, enjoyed a couple of decades in the general practice of law and built/operated one of the top 10 restaurants in Seattle. Also made wine for about 15 years or so. I enjoy the stimulation of a challenging, new project and can readily apply established business principles in new and diverse environments. My path has not been traditional, nor was that ever a goal.Virtually all of my vocational experiences have involved Project Management and Communications. Whether working as a Licensed Attorney, Construction Project Manager, Developer, Restaurateur, Certified Mediator, Start-up Consultant, Winemaker or singer for rock and roll bands, there are certain skill sets that have run through all of my endeavors. Those skill sets include Strategic Planning, Research, Communication Facilitation, oral and written Communication expertise, Mediation and Negotiation, as well as a broad overview of Law related issues. I have been successful in all of my undertakings and the variety of these undertakings has provided me with a rather generalist view of the world; so much of what we all do is interconnected.At this point in life, I am interested in learning more, giving back to the world that we inhabit and making positive change.
