Assisted various organizations in the Insurance industry with Information Technology including Transition Services Agreements, research and advising on systems and infrastructure and evaluation of current technology.

Responsibilities include the initial staffing, organization, management and budget for the Information Technology function. Other responsibilities include due diligence and subsequent platform integration of acquisitions. Additional responsibilities include the coordination and management of various IT vendors providing: Datacomm, Telephony, E-mail, Policy Issuance and our primary processing platform. The department works closely with the vendor of our primary platform, Agency Broker System (ABS), to modify and enhance the system to better support the Wholesale Brokerage operations and various US based MGU operations.

Acted as the primary technology liaison and chief systems architect among the business units within the company. Responsible for screening, selecting and managing relationships with technology vendors. The department maintained and enhanced both a fiduciary accounting system and a .net/SQL server based broking application. The department developed and maintained the company's intranet, Internet and the company's disaster recovery plan. The department provides training and support for the company's major application systems and the group’s technology infrastructure. The department supported and maintained the company’s E-mail (Outlook/Exchange) and the company's document imaging solution (ImageRight). Served on technology oriented panels and round tables for NAPSLO (National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Organizations); an advisory group with the Texas Surplus Lines office regarding electronic tax filing: Agency Technology Advisory Council for Scottsdale Insurance Company.
