I'm Consultancy Manager for the University of Sussex, where I completed both my bachelor's and master's degrees. My role within the Research and Enterprise unit is to provide dedicated support for winning, delivering, developing and growing the university's consultancy offering. This is building on the institution's outstanding reputation for teaching and research. Achieving this means managing internal and external related activities, such as:- Project management- Portfolio management- Capacity building- Networking with industry and academia.I started as Legislation Consultant then progressed to Operations Manager for Efficiency Direct, a UK based energy efficiency consultancy. I was then recruited by Kyoto Energy of Singapore as Head of Consultancy Services. During this time I lived and worked in Malaysia and Viet Nam; in all I have 14 years' consultancy experience, 10 of which are international. After moving back to London I joined Ricardo Energy and Environment as a Senior Technical Consultant. In the role I won and delivered services to build a stream of global climate change policy projects in countries as diverse as Myanmar, Rwanda and Jordan. I also developed strategic regional business development plans across different thematic areas with company directors. Throughout my career I have consistently achieved success in tailoring consultancy services to meet objectives. This has resulted in corporate, national and international stakeholders providing excellent personal feedback. I have also worked with a diverse range of clients, project stakeholders and beneficiaries. For example: - Industry and commerce- Higher education and local authorities- UK, EU and developing country governments- Climate development funds and multilateral development banks - Non-governmental organisations and private equity funds.
