About David Lowney

I have 18 total years of experience in various arenas of the Piping and Auxiliary Design/Construction Industry with 8 years being spent in Marine. Up until June 17, 2009 I had been directly employed at Derecktor Shipyards, in Bridgeport CT., as their Senior Piping and Auxiliary Designer & Project Material Expediter/ Coordinator, for the Companies “CAKEWALK” Project. I was laid-off in the company's second round of staff reductions (140+ employees total). While there I had the opportunity to enjoy a direct hands-on relationship with all the Production Trades, while assisting Engineering solve some of the many design issues that arise in new vessel construction. Enjoying being aboard ship getting my hands dirty with construction and installation staff and having proven myself to be an excellent team player with strong and assertive decision making and design abilities, I am hoping to find a position within a company to which I might be able to put my many talents to good useSpecialties: Pipefitting, Spool Fabrication,Des. & Fab.
