Primary focus was a VB COM layer used to encapsulate all electronic ordering functionality, designed for BN.Com’s business rules, and architected to handle the extreme scaling requirements of the holiday shopping season. Acted as the technology liaison with the ordering product manager and her team to produce actionable requirements for the ordering redesign in 2002. Took into consideration security, scaling, and human factors. Participated in the load testing process for the final version of the integrated ordering system and directed support once it was released to production. Worked with Microsoft to design a flexible promotional discounting system prototype using Commerce Server 2000.

Lead software architect for a team that was prototyping new wireless mobile application infrastructure approaches using Internet/WWW technologies. Used many different techniques/platforms to integrate voice mail, calendaring, and mobile communication technologies into applications that ran on the small devices of the late 1990s. Presented our approach at the Wireless ’98 Conference in Calgary Alberta which included a live demo.
