Founding MBM in 2002, David Madden is responsible for driving business growth, corporate governance, staff development and the strategic direction of MBM. David has a proven track record in quantity surveying, cost planning, expert witness and procurement methods having commenced in the Sydney construction sector in 1984. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) and a past vice president of the AIQS NSW Chapter Council, he has recently assisted with the preparation of the AIQS Guide for Experts Witness.David leads several teams in MBM’s Sydney office. His determination, motivation and realistic approach to projects leads to the natural development of high-performing teams; this is demonstrated in his passion for cultural diversity within MBM and the development of female leadership. A well planned and an organised individual, he adopts a structured approach in everything he does and is well versed in the management and coordination of teams working on complex scenarios. In 2023, David was named the NAWIC NSW Male Champion of Change. David’s communications skills build strong, enduring relationships with clients and stakeholders. He approaches each project with passion, assisting clients through all phases from conception, tendering, pre and post contract documentation and administration. He enjoys servicing multiple projects across all industry sectors for both domestic and international clients. With a particular emphasis on schools, health, workplace, residential, retail, hotel, industrial and mixed-use developments. David also has a proven and unmatched reputation for providing expert witness advice to NCAT, District and the Supreme Court of NSW.Outside of MBM, David is passionate about football (soccer) and currently sits as President of the Sans Souci Football Club, having served on their committee since 2008. He has also been heavily involved with the development of youth in the St. George area for over 35 years. David is a committee member of the Sydney Anglican Church Endowment of the See.
