Chief Information Security Officer
CurrentOrchestrates the development and maintenance of an advanced information security program tailored to the needs of a community comprising roughly 7,500 students, faculty, and staff. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and aligning security initiatives with the institution's risk profile. Engages in active collaboration with ITS senior staff and major campus stakeholders to establish, implement, monitor, and enforce security and business continuity protocols across the university. Directs the comprehensive management of IT infrastructure, including networking, telecommunications, data centers, and database administration, while spearheading the strategic vision for the university's technology infrastructure. This includes managing annual IT Operating and Capital budgets to align with Brandeis University's strategic goals. Provides expert guidance on information security matters to the CIO, executive leadership, and campus leaders, integrating academic values with security imperatives. Leads the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and educational programs. Maintains robust coordination with legal, risk management, audit, and public safety departments to fortify campus IT security. In addition, drives technology infrastructure development, ensuring the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality technical services to meet the dynamic needs of this prestigious Research 1 institution.
