As Senior Analyst - Real Estate Due Diligence, I provide the essential appraisal support and expertise required for the lending decisions made based on the valuation and environmental due diligence processes.This includes duties such as selecting appraisers based on the type of and complexity of appraisal assignment and the appraisers’ qualifications, ordering appraisals and managing appraisal deadlines, completing and documenting comprehensive appraisal reviews in accordance with USPAP, regulatory compliance, and the Bank’s Credit Policy. I also work with appraisers to identify and rectify any appraisal deficiencies, communicate with lenders on appraisal acceptance and discuss what, if any, conditions should be considered when using the appraisal to underwrite or close a loan, develop and maintain competencies in commercial and residential real estate and specifically appraisal.Additional duties include performing internal evaluations with a focus on producing credible opinions of value that meet or exceed the minimum evaluation content as described in the Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines dated December 2, 2010 for residential and all types of commercial properties.I am responsible for executing the Environmental Risk Management Policy, which includes; Identifying potential environmental risks and taking appropriate actions to evaluate the same, advising the credit decision makers of environmental risks and helping to structure credit facilities so that risk to the Bank is minimized and regulatory compliance is being met, documenting compliance with regulatory guidelines, provide input to the Manager on the development of and modifications to the Bank’s Environmental Risk Management Policy, work with the Manager to modify the approved environmental vendor list and makes recommendations for using environmental firms for specific assignments.
