The primary function of my role was to maintain the building and grounds in a world-class fashion. The Connecticut facility is the world headquarters of SPIROL. The facility is 125,000 square feet and is on a 6 Acre lot. I was responsible for the maintenance and upgrades to the building and building systems, such as HVAC, electrical and plumbing. I was also responsible for the maintenance of common equipment, such as compressors, heating units, and company vehicles. For the grounds, I was responsible for all landscaping, signage, driveway and exterior lighting. Building sanitation and overall appearance fell under my responsibilities as well. I was also on the Management Safety Committee.I coordinated multiple HVAC mini split and Roof Top units to be replaced, parking lot seal coating, the installation of heated Make Up Air units, and configured floor tape schemes throughout the Facility. I proposed, planned and, supervised our roof being converted from flat roofing system to a pitched roofing system. I helped form policy on our COVID-19 strategy, purchased all necessary PPE and sanitation needs, and have continued to have input on the situation. I researched, proposed and, implemented Thermal Imaging Scanners at our Connecticut Facility. I planned for department renovations, which included the installation of new cubicles, new flooring, new bathroom equipment and, overall general updates. Employees from SPIROL's other facilities around the world have reached out with inquiries on projects and I helped solve/implement solutions at their facility.

My primary job was to order the cleaning supplies for the school district. I collaborated with all of the custodians in the district in order to do this. By looking at patterns and trends in usage I made quotes for future purchases for the district. Along with purchasing, I was on the team who implemented the SchoolDude software into the district and integrated it into the Maintenance staff routine. The Director of Maintenance and I are actively looked for new suppliers as well, holding meetings with them and obtaining quotes pertaining to pricing.I was on the team responsible for the maintenance of the school grounds, prepare the game day and practice fields for use. General landscaping of the High School and Middle School campuses. Coordinate with Athletic Director and Director of Maintenance for field use. I was also cross trained for every position on our custodial staff, I was able to be inputted in any location and have the operation run smoothly.I preformed preventative maintenance on the vehicles and other equipment.

At Ledyard, I have completed many tasks. In my six years of work, I have done tasks including: painting, cleaning and rearranging classrooms, mowing grass, weed whacking, painting athletic lines, making deliveries, and moving materials. I had the opportunity on multiple occasions to make executive decisions and to demonstrate leadership. I have the ability collaborate with co-workers to find better solutions to the problems that we face. I have to supervise and maintain the equipment that I use, and make sure that all materials are accounted for. I am also responsible for keeping a record of dwindling materials, such as bathroom supplies. I have demonstrated the ability to work independently when needed, but I can also be a vital part of a group.

While at Sherwin, I was a part of a three intern team to assist the company with Lead Generation, a business initiative which contacts the customer base directly. We compiled data and did surveys to better understand the process of company-customer interaction. At the end of the internship, we went to Edison, New Jersey and presented our findings to the Vice President of Sales for the Eastern Division.The skills I developed during this internship are far-reaching. I was responsible for the management of a cash drawer and a register within the store. I used interpersonal skills to interact with customers on a daily basis, whether it be in person or on the telephone. I was also able to answer customer's questions, as I learned a great deal about the company and their products. While on the job, I gave customers intellectual insight into different products and projects that they were working on. I learned their operating system effectively and was able to navigate it with ease. I prepared financial statements for customers and helped locate old purchases. Another one of my duties at Sherwin was the successful and on-time delivery of paints and other products in the company van. I demonstrated the ability to work on my own, in many situations I was the only person available to assist the customer.

While working at Eastern, I had a great amount of interaction with my coworkers while we worked as a team. I developed strong problem solving skills while working at this job. I worked on my own without supervision doing things like: weed whacking, pulling weeds, or any other task that required my attention. Many of the tasks I was responsible for required a high level of precision. Without my attention to detail, jobs like painting lines or setting up tents for an event would not have gone as planned.

Eastern Connecticut

As a laborer, I prepared mortar using correct proportions of lime, mix, and water. While mixing the mortar, I had to use the correct proportions of materials, such concrete mix, lime, gravel and water. While the mason was busy, I supervised and maintained the equipment, cleaning the tools and keeping them in working condition. I analyzed proper processes of applying bricks and mud. I also learned the concept that regulations need to be met and in order for a job to be completed, things need to be to code. While on the job I demonstrated ability to work independently or in cooperation with the mason.

While at Chelsea Groton, I interacted with customers and was able to make lasting relationships because of my strong interpersonal skills. I mastered the bank's operating system, and eventually was able to navigate it without the help of others. I was trusted with sensitive account information that I was not allowed to disclose. I was responsible for the successful maintenance of a cash drawer, completion of transactions, and was trusted with information about the safe and other inner workings of the facility.
