Supported the company’s founder on strategic positioning and overall business management.Developed NUEL’s marketing approach across the stack, including email, content, social, performance, community, and brand.Delivered record participation, with over 1,100 teams registering to play in 2021.

Recommended go/no-go decision on potential new game based on market data and qualitative research. Carried out data analysis and made recommendations on translations of upcoming games.

Built and managed a world-leading portfolio of books in plastics engineering, polymer science, and textiles. This role included work in strategy, product management, product marketing, external partnerships, and direct line management.Identified as 'key talent' (top 9th percentile of employees in terms of performance and potential) in a whole company talent review. Also won awards for 'Customer Focus' and 'Team Player of the Year'.

Successfully established an entirely new portfolio in polymer science. During my tenure, this new portfolio grew rapidly, and is now a critical part of Elsevier's materials books program.Led the development of best practice for author onboarding for the entire books division – improving the quality of the manuscripts received and reducing the number of missed deadlines.Developed a new tool for reporting eBook usage data – since universally adopted for new product proposals.Pioneered the adoption of new print-on-demand technology – resulting in lower excess inventory and faster speed to market for my portfolio.

Managed the writing schedules of a large portfolio of books in materials science and nanotechnology. Created and rolled out new project tracking tools and workflows, substantially improving scheduling of publication dates across my team – including a year of 100% on target publications in 2015.

Edited manuscripts from high profile academics, researchers, and military experts for inclusion in Royal United Services Institute publications.

Ultimately responsible for the content, production, distribution and development of a monthly 64 page student magazine and an active companion website. Circulation was 4000 copies per issue. I managed a budget of just under £30,000 and led a 40-strong editorial team, with over 800 contributing writers.This work, like my previous position at Impact, was carried out alongside my studies.

My team led the way in establishing the News section as an integral part of the publication, and pioneered the use of online live news reporting for the magazine.

I carried boxes full of magazines around campus, handed them out to students, manned stalls, etc.
