As a Linux server administrator for the Cybersecurity Operations team, my duties included implementing a Postfix mail server integration with Active Directory, re-deploying & maintaining Squid proxy servers, and researching use cases for Ansible. I used vSphere almost daily to help manage dozens of servers, and used Wireshark and tcpdump on a semi-regular.

Provided technical support to employees of Lamp Post Group and startup within LPG. The majority of my time was spent with Access America Transport, bought by Coyote Logistics. Removed viruses, deployed new workstations, troubleshot any problems that arose on company servers and employee workstations, managed VPN access, assisting with software applications.

Monitored over 300 servers in the Amazon Cloud with Nagios and responded to any problems that arose, provisioned Drupal hosting clients with Ruby & Puppet-based architecture on Ubuntu servers, analyzed MySQL & Apache logs, maintained MySQL database replication and resized MySQL volumes, troubleshot & worked with Gluster file system. Wrote operations.

Maintained www.urbanministry.org by updating its Drupal code base and in server administration (including CentOS installation & configuration, firewall maintenance, cPanel installation and configuration, and server monitoring), provided technical support for staff including Microsoft Outlook, and maintained phone and office network, including Active.

Assisting the maintenance of school network by pulling and terminating CAT+5 cable, fixing student computers (virus scans, file recovery, hardware replacement, etc.), maintaining campus printers, and answering phones at the front desk / switchboard.

Researched positive cases of impact from the Microenterprise Development programs that FH conducted which were compiled in a final research project. Lived with indigenous residents in two separate communities. Also briefly consulted with the local FH office in addressing some of their IT needs.
