Dr. Martorano is board certified in psychiatry and clinical informatics. He completed his medical training at Columbia University and his residency in psychiatry at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Institute. Much of his time at the NPIH was focused on outpatient psychiatric care, specifically psychotherapy and the treatment of addiction. The last two years of training involved focus on short-term psychotherapies, couples and sex therapy, as well as involvement in the UCLA Addiction Medicine Clinic, UCLA NPI Mood Disorders Clinic, UCLA Anxiety Disorders Clinic and UCLA Interpersonal Psychotherapy Clinic. Past research experience includes research in reproductive neuroendocrinology at the Rockefeller Institute, as well as publications in electrophysiology and alternative medicine. Upon completion of his training in 2004, Dr. Martorano started his private practice devoted to developing comprehensive outpatient solutions for people with substance abuse problems. In addition, Dr. Martorano has consulted to and run some of Southern California’s most prominent residential treatment centers. Dr. Martorano has taught psychotherapy to psychiatry residents at Sepulveda hospital and had been sought out by patients across the country for his expertise in combining psychotherapy with rational psychopharmacology. Dr. Martorano has served as the Assistant Medical Director and Director of Adult Psychiatry at Wyoming Behavioral Institute. In addition he serves as a Pain Consultant at Wyoming Medical Center. Dr. Martorano is Board Certified in Psychiatry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Preventative Medicine with Certification in Clinical Informatics.Dr. Martorano has served as CEO of two software companies, Calibrated Legal Informatics and Direct Control information Systems. He is an experienced manager, developed and system architect with a proven track record.
