My role was to lead a team responsible for all areas of the business from community and education to theatre programming.Organizational Development• Major player in the development of the new Hippodrome, Birmingham Royal Ballet, DanceXchange building• Major organizational restructuring to redefine the International Dance Festival Birmingham as part of DanceXchange in 2016• Growing the turnover from under £300k in 2000 to £2.2 million by 2012• Created a large reserve (£400k plus) in order to secure the organization over the long term• The new facilities have attracted the worlds most renowned artists to make productions in Birmingham• Played a key part in developing Birmingham as a designated Dance Hub by the Arts Council of EnglandThe Patrick Centre Theatre and DanceXchange StudiosMy role was to programme the 210-seat theatre and attract income from hires whilst growing an audience for a brand-new theatre for dance and the arts in Birmingham. • The success of the theatre led to the establishment of the International Dance Festival Birmingham• Over 40 classes a week with over 500 people attending from 3 to 90 years old!British Dance Edition Expo 2010My role was to secure the event for Birmingham, successful programming, promotion and management of the event.• The 2010 Expo successfully attracted 500 delegates from all over the world• Organized 36 performances, 8 receptions, 8 debates, 8 networking events, a social hub and a 2-day trade fair with 70 stands over a 4-day period

My role was to create and build the scale of the festival through fundraising, partnership development and curation. Fundraising- including Birmingham City Council, Arts Council England, Sky Arts, Colmore Business District, Central Government. Partnership development- including the Birmingham Hippodrome, Symphony Hall and Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. Curation- creating an artistic programme encapsulating stage performances, producing small to large scale outdoor productions, conferencing, workshops and debates.• Birmingham’s signature festival and the largest dance festival in the UK• UK Theatre Award 2014, Heart of England Tourism Award 2010• 2016 edition mounted 37 theatre performances, 39 outdoor events, created a social hub and Sculpture exhibition in a grade I listed building and 2 major conferences in the space of 3 weeks• 2016 edition turnover £1.5 million
