-Frequently served as Acting Commander of this unit comprised of 2200 Soldiers performing continuous global operations. -Supervised 100+ subject matter experts and execution of annual budget of over $45 million; all projects were completed on schedule and within budget, including deployment of two 400-Soldier battalions to Afghanistan, over 100 deployments of forces into Asia, establishment of additional 435-Soldier battalion, and a series of complex military construction projects valued at over $232 million over the next 15 years.-Secured $5 million in additional funding through meticulous budgeting, careful planning, articulation of requirements and consistent communications with supervisors.-Served as Deputy Commander, Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines (600 Service Members). Reduced terrorist threats in the southern Philippines and assisted in the successful repatriation of a juvenile U.S. citizen kidnapped by terrorists by consulting with the Philippine security forces and improving their operations. Awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.-Volunteer service includes coach with Maple Valley Junior Football and Tahoma Basketball Association.

-Served as the Deputy Plans Chief of U.S. Forces-Iraq. Supervised over 60 military planners in the development and synchronization of all long-term plans for over 130,000 U.S. forces in Iraq. Awarded the Bronze Star.-Led a team of over 150 planners from all four services and other government agencies in developing the campaign plan for the Responsible Drawdown of Forces from Iraq. Briefed and gained the approval of General Odierno, the commander of U.S Forces-Iraq. Selected as the plans subject matter expert to accompany the Major General in charge to Washington D.C. to brief the National Security Council and the Joint Staff.

-Successfully planned and integrated the largest expansion of Army Special Operations Forces since the Cold War. Resulting in over 10,000 new documented positions for Special Operations Soldiers.-Gained the approval of Headquarters, Department of the Army, for the new, expanded force structure for Army Special Forces, Rangers, Civil Affairs, and other Special Operations. Managed the creation of new organizational structures that met the requirements of the U.S. Quadrennial Defense Review Report and positively impacted over 26,000 Soldiers and nine Army installations.

-Deployed a company of over 100 Special Forces Soldiers and $11 million of equipment to Iraq, conducted successful combat operations for over eight months and redeployed the entire company safely to the U.S. -Developed and implemented the first Provincial Criminal Justice Committee in Mosul, Iraq. The committee, composed of U.S. and Iraqi military and legal professionals, streamlined legal processes and eliminated gaps and seams between military operations and legal processes. The committee was so successful it was imitated across Iraq.
