Successful Profit & Loss responsibility for the establishment of a new division serving the Australian wine industry. Starting from a zero base, resulted in a multi-million dollar turn-over within 24 months. Developed B2B marketing strategy and sales strategy as well as supply and fulfilment chain. Developed key relationships with multi-national clients from zero base through to being listed as “preferred supplier” status. The role included:• Development of a suite of more than 50 products, each with their own individual technical requirements.• Commodity Trading – working with treasury to manage exchange rate risk in conjunction with fluctuating commodity prices.• Successful high-value tender preparation and negotiations.• Establishment/analysis of supply chain logistics including sea and air cargo as well as Just-in-Time logistics across Australia, including to remote regional areas. Included establishment of warehousing and analysis to ensure optimisation of cost effective logistics to support high demand large scale customer operations.• Contract negotiation• Risk management• Price modelling• Successful negotiations across multiple organisational levels from C-Level through to operations.INVESTMENT ANALYSISAs part of my role I was also responsible for investment analysis for this division, including the management of a team of chemical, civil and structural engineers in Australia and Europe. Responsibility for full feasibility analysis for heavy investment, taking into consideration fluctuating commodity pricing, market conditions, and exchange rate risks and then making recommendations to the Board.GASResponsible for the successful introduction of gas supply into the market as a key product offering. As with the other products I was responsible for, the gas requird the development of a comprehensive marketing/sales strategy.
