Bio, David M. BachIn 1996, David founded BACH Personnel, San Francisco’s first Gay and Lesbian Employment Agency. BACH Personnel’s mission was to improve the professional relationship between the business community and talented individuals from The Gay and Lesbian Workforce. In 2001, David Bach began an online business venture with the same focus. The business model, ProGayJobs, LLC, was an online job board and e-recruitment site for gay-friendly companies wishing to achieve overall workforce diversity by tapping into the LGBT workforce. Unfortunately in 2003 the economy tanked and recruitment services were road kill.In 2004, David Bach began a new job in the Public Sector as the LGBT Workforce Services Coordinator for the San Francisco LGBT Community Center’s (the Center) Neighborhood Economic Development Organization (NEDO), which at the time was the only publicly supported NEDO for the LGBT Community in the nation.David is largely responsible for the idea and success of the LGBT Center’s signature Job Fair Series – a first-ever job fair program for the LGBT Community. The job fair series has attracted scores of employers and hundreds of job seekers to the Center, and it inspired the first Transgender Job Fair held on March 22, 2005. Overall, David’s program served nearly 1,500 people each year through a variety of one-on-one counseling, workshops, employment referrals and job fair programs.David left the Center in October 2011 upon completing and celebrating the Center’s 25th LGBT Job Fair.Community Service:Served on the LGBT Community Partnership’s steering committee, which is hosted a Transgender and Aging Symposium April 04, 2012.
