• Draft and negotiate legislation (MAP-21) reauthorizing surface transportation safety and infrastructure programs for Department of Transportation agencies through Committee markup, Senate floor and House and Senate.
• Develop memoranda, statements and member questions for Committee hearings on consumer product safety, education and workforce development, internet privacy and legislative markup sessions.
• Attend meetings with member staff, Committee minority staff and outside stakeholders to discuss and negotiate legislative proposals on surface transportation and consumer product safety issues.
