The City of Marshfield has a very robust enterprise GIS program. My role is to maximize they system, save the City financially, support all City departments and citizenry, and expand its use. I am embedded with Engineering Division, however serve all of the City's other division and sub-sections. I have garnered the skills over the last eight plus years for: enterprise GIS implementation and management, web mapping and apps, field data collection, project management, tool creation, workflow creation and management, ETL tools, CAD, and database administration. I also create training documents, teach classes, and provide technical support on projects. The City utilizes a full suite ESRI products, Microsoft products including SQL databases, and Adobe products.

Develop, manage, and maintain a full spectrum of cartographic and GIS services and data to support the needs of other departments and Our Region's constituents.Creation of all static and analytical cartographic media in support of other departments' missions.Meet with and develop supported departments and constituents cartographic/GIS project requirements, create training documents, collection and documentation of needed data, update GIS/CAD databases, and answer technical GIS questions.

- Development of high quality cost effective Geographic Information Systems (GIS) solutions using a variety of software, programs, tools, and applications to project specifications.- Develop, maintain, and support multiple geo-referenced databases, other GIS databases, and aerial photography for use in applications such as: community/comprehensive planning, transportation planning, emergency management, economic development, engineering, site and facility development and management, environmental conservation/management,existing conditions, future development, digital mapping, and other planning needs.- Long-Term GIS/mapping project management for multiple projects such as hazard mitigation, farmland preservation, and comprehensive planning. - Researching and developing solutions related to CADD/GIS and other digital data integration.- Collect/create, update, coordinate, and manage distribution of digital and GIS information for activities including static and interactive mapping, engineering, and project supplements.- Provide guidance and define requirements for GIS/mapping projects and software and hardware purchases.- Cultivate and establish working relationships with local municipalities, outside agencies (FEMA, USGS, and Army Corps of Engineers, and other organizations.- Construct, comparatively analyze, and generate statistics from geo-referenced databases for planning and project analysis.- Create and sustain spatial documentation and metadata for data sets.- Create training, standards, and policy documents.- Mentor and teach fellow staff, community staff, and local partners in the uses and practices of Geographic Information Systems. - Establishes individual product schedules, prepares progressreports, and monitors project and labor cost expenditures. - Research availability of data from outside sources. Then compile, edit, analyzes, and interprets data for inclusion into reports and publications.

- Contracted to develop geo-referenced GIS data and aerial photography storage and consolidation recommendations.- Develop geo-referenced databases and supporting file structure system recommendations.- Create metadata standards and recommendations.- Implement developed recommendations and standards.- Train existing staff on the procedures and structure.

- Develop GIS solutions for departmental missions.- Develop training documents.- Conversion, collection and documentation of needed data. - Update GIS/CAD databases in support of interdepartmental missions.- Answer technical GIS questions both from peers and constituents. - Research and develop various mapping products including three-dimensional digital terrain models, topographic contours, and cross-sections from hydro-graphic, topographic, and aerial photographic survey data.

- Assist the GIS Team with lake map and atlas creation using digital geographic information (GIS) and imaging processing systems.- Research and acquiring of needed data, data cleaning and maintenance, and metadata creation from outside sources.- Field checking updates to Mapping Specialist product line of Dane County Road Atlases.- Processing of immediately needed requests for maps, data inquires, and changes to client specifications.

- Assist the GIS Analyst and other departments with digital map creation using GIS software and other imaging processing systems.- Researching and acquiring of needed data for outside sources. GIS data editing, GIS data creation, and GIS maintenanceand metadata creation.- Long-term project management. Generating reports and statisticsfrom geo-referenced and other databases.- Processing of immediately needed requests for maps, data inquires, and changes to project specifications.
