As Program Manager (PM) of a $30M plus program associated with the development of 2000 plus detail design drawings and complex composite drawings for the construction of the new LHA(R) Class ship. This position included developing and managing a functional Project Management Office (PMO) of 12-15 project managers and support staff. Work with ISO managers to modify existing ISO Procedures, initiated and managed the development of various ISO Work Instructions, Forms, Opportunity for Improvement (OFI), Preventive Action Requests (PAR) to suit the LHA 6 Program. Implemented a six-sigma related philosophy to measure and mitigate design and drafting errors and developed objective quality metrics to establish and analyze trend data (Quality management). Was the Engineering Systems Services Division Manager where I started and managed the Machinery Control and Automation Department (MC&A). This department provided various MC&A related services such as CVN 77 MCMS, Propulsion Control systems for the Royal Navy of Norway, and the CEMAT TLI training lab at NOB. Norfolk VA.
