I'm a chartered mechanical building services / MEP engineer with experience in a wide range of sectors including commercial and arts & culture building design. Sustainable, energy-efficient design is very important to me. For me a successful building design is one where the architecture and engineering work as one. I've had the privilege to have worked with many high profile 'signature'​ architectural practices, including Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners, Herzog de Meuron, OMA, AHMM and David Chipperfield Architects.I have strong experience managing the engineering design of large and complex multidisciplinary design projects, including the SNFCC, a new large cultural centre in Greece, which won the Building Magazine award for Best International Project and was featured in the Royal Academy of Engineering's journal. Some of my other key projects are a new whisky distillery for Macallan, a large performance and cultural complex in Sao Paolo, and the National Museum in Qatar. I'm enthusiastic about whole building design, and I enjoy integrating engineering elegantly, sustainably and sympathetically with the architecture.I'm also passionate about music and I try to see as much live music as I can. I play fiddle in a successful Scottish ceilidh band called Lochnagar. I love cinema and mountains.
