Current• Prepare and draft contracts for hospice, palliative care and community foundation entities. • Reviewed, negotiated and drafted contracts with vendors, insurance policies and nursing homes.• Experience with Anti-kickback, Stark and False Claims Act (FCA).• Researched various legal and compliance issues, HIPAA, HITECH & other issues.• Chair of the risk committee, compliance committee and vice-chair of the safety committee.• Investigated complaints regarding quality of care, including fraud, waste and abuse complaints.• Present reports to the President/CEO and Board of Directors.• Gather information, prepare and draft hospice annual evaluation.• Prepare and present in-service education seminars to all hospice staff.• Discuss hospice policies and compliance program to new employees at orientation.• Submission of hospice data to government entities such as DOEA.• Prepare and draft legal documents for hospice, palliative care and community foundation entities.• Prepare response and documents to Additional Document Requests (ADR) from CMS.• Prepare response to State of Florida (AHCA) investigations and implement appropriate solutions.• Responsible for drafting and filing various hospice permits and licenses.• Register business, physicians and ARNP's with Medicare.• Responsible for the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
