NAVSEA 21 Project Manager’s Representative (PMR): Represents Team Ships/PMS407 interests on the San Diego waterfront. Acts as Team Ships On-Site Representative for Ship’s CNO Availabilities and Integration of Surface Ships Modernization . Performs alteration fielding coordination, shipboard modernization oversight, technical assistance coordination, and deploying ship’s readiness support. Liaisons between Team Ships and the San Diego Waterfront. Provides expert advice and assistance to Port Engineers and ship’s force, as well as embarked Amphibious Squadron and MEU staff regarding existing alteration status and sponsored alteration issues/concerns. Participates in SHIPMAIN and Fleet Readiness Program (FRP) processes. Conducts shipboard surveys in support of Ship Alteration/Equipment Alteration development. Participates in Availability Advance Planning meetings and Shipyard Production/Progress & Milestone meetings; generates written updates to PMS407. Ensures ship alterations are properly supported and configuration management concerns are addressed.

Manages in-house and Navy programs/processes to monitor training requirements, reviews ships’ manpower/manning status and projections and tracks prospective gains on Permanent Change of Station orders.Identifies and correlates alteration related training requirements.Liaisons with Navy learning centers, In-Service Engineering Activities, Alteration Installation Teams and others to coordinate crew training.Creates individual training tracks for service members and provides school quota management and documents completed and future training schedules.Prepares, submits and briefs periodic status reports as a measure of crew training. Comprehensive end of availability training reports are used to document training accomplishments in preparation for a successful crew certification.
