A University of Ulster graduate with expertise in the field of Construction Project Management. I have recently graduated from my Construction Business and Project Management Masters Degree (2013) with Distinction, having obtained the Association for Projects Managers (APM) ‘Student of the Year’ award for the best overall student performance on the course. My Master’s thesis, on the legal drivers and barriers impacting upon the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) within the UK, was awarded the Quigg-Golden prize for best law related dissertation and has recently been published within the University of Ulster library. Prior to this I graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Construction Engineering and Management, being awarded the CIOB Certificate of Excellence. I started my professional career working as a Student Site Manger & Engineer for Belfast based construction company Mascott, and am currently employed as a Trainee Project Manager for Henry Brothers (Magherafelt). I see myself as a hard-working and highly motivated individual that continually strives for excellence. The completion of my degrees and work experience has helped me to develop and nurture the necessary skills required to successfully manage projects. I am keen to implement my academic knowledge into practice and build upon my project experience, permitting me to continually lean and grow as a project manager.
