My time with DEC Projects has given me the opportunity to work with a range of clients on large scale projects across Melbourne.Notable placements include:- Bell to Preston Level Crossing Removal with John Holland and NWPA, I was responsible for major occupation civil works such as rail formation removal, station demolition, and hardstand construction, hard and soft landscaping construction, and reconstruction of four roads to council and DoT standards.- Waurn Ponds to South Geelong Duplication with McConnell Dowell and Djilang Alliance, I was responsible for bulk earthworks, drainage installation, site early works, and access road installation.- Union Mont Albert Level Crossing Removal with Laing O'Rourke and SEPA, I was responsible for coordination with utility providers to manage interfaces and clashes within the road works.I am currently working with Nasi Civil, overseeing and managing various drainage projects. I am responsible for coordinating technical project activities, working with clients to reach effective solutions, as well as working across sites to ensure quality and safety compliance.

Notable projects at Civilex include:Murra Warra Wind Farm (Client: Downer): - Early works Compound Bench Construction - Early works included pavement construction for the 40,000 m2 compound bench, housing the Substation, O&M Facility, Temporary site offices and batching plant for the construction of the Wind Farm. Project scope included bulk earthworks, stabilisation, drainage and crushed rock pavement installation for the compound bench and access road. - WTG Foundation Construction - WTG Foundation works included bulk earthworks, large scale steel and concrete work for the construction of 61 Wind Turbine Generator Foundations. Each foundation included 70+ Tonnes of steel and over 600m3 of concrete poured in a single monolithic structure.Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Rd Section 3 (Client: VicRoads): - Installation of roundabouts at the intersection of Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Rd and Parwan-Exford Rd and the intersection of Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Rd and Ballan Rd as well as the installation of guardrail along 6km of Geelong-Bacchus Marsh.Melbourne-Lancefield Rd (Client: VicRoads): - Upgrading and widening 11km of Melbourne-Lancefield Rd from Lancefield to South of Romsey to accommodate the installation of Guardrail and Wire Rope Safety Barriers. Including the installation of several retaining walls.Auto Centro Loop Road (Client: Essendon Fields): - Construction of new road to house the BMW, Mini and Land Rover dealerships. Scope included Bulk Earthworks, Road Construction, Kerb works, Retaining walls and drainage.

During my time at Bitu-mill I worked on a range of small civil construction and asphalt paving projects throughout Melbourne. This included working with a range of clients such as Hansen Yuncken, McConnell Dowell, Boral, and multiple councils.

After graduating I undertook volunteer work with Engineers Without Borders Australia in conjunction with Swinburne University of Technology. Two fellow graduates and I are researched the removal of arsenic from drinking water in Cambodia using sand filters. The research was captivating and it provided great insight into the lives and struggles of communities around the world. Upon the completion of my undergraduate study I pursued this work as it is has an immense impact on and benefit for individuals less privileged than the majority currently living in Australia. It is a remarkable feeling having the capacity to influence others’ health from such distance.
